EU: Second corrigenda published for the MDR and IVDR in the Official Journal of the EU

On 27th December 2019, the EU published the second corrigendum relating to the MDR and IVDR in the Official Journal of the EU.

While the corrigendum for the IVDR simply corrects minor errors, the corrigendum for the MDR now formally introduces the changes to Article 120 relating to the transition period. This means that Class I products, for which a certificate from a notified body is required for the first time under the MDR, can now optionally still be placed on the market under the MDD declaration of conformity until 26th May 2024, provided that there have been no significant changes.
